NAKURU'S NEW CHAIRMAN; A PROP

Giles doing duty for Kenya 'A'

What's not to love about props. They are tall, big, always experienced, demand respect and most of all they are natural leaders. Perhaps not all but thats all we can attribute to Nakuru's 6'2 115kilo loosehead Giles Littewood after he took over Nakuru Rugby's chairmanship from Ali Aljabri with a swing vote.
It would have been a props affair if at all former Kenyan International Prop Richmond Barasa clinched the Vice-Chairman's position. Let's not rule him out just yet, the position is still vacant pending an SGM in 21 days.
The Scrummager who bowed out a season ago with a major injury leaves questions as to whether he will return at the eye of the Scrum or watch from his throne. If he will read this, my wish is that he returns to the field. Such a scrummager he is but most essential is, it'll really be a stunner to see the Chairman get thrown around by some young rookie.
Alijabri gets ousted after two terms that saw him build stands and secure a huge sponsorship deal for Nakuru Rugby. He did well as Nakuru's Chairman and for that 'we' wish him the best in his endeavors.
It is however comforting to see guys who understand the game. Guys who've played the game. Guys who love the game leading from the frontline.
Cheers Giles!
